Litter Survey is an annual program that allows KOB and City of Opelika to identify specific areas that need attention. The city is divided into 4 quadrants (North, South, East & West). In October each year, 12 volunteers spend four days scouting these areas. We rate subdivisions, industrial parks, shopping malls and hospitals on a 1-4 scale of litter in sight. There are 20 locations identified in each quadrant and we examine 10 locations each year. The results are tabulated and presented to the Board.
