We are excited to announce that this year’s Shred Day will include a Trash Amnesty Day, allowing residents to dispose of unwanted trash responsibly alongside document shredding. This addition provides a convenient opportunity to safely clear out both sensitive paperwork and household waste, helping keep our community clean and organized. Please join us in promoting a cleaner Opelika by taking advantage of this combined service.

Keep Opelika Beautiful hosts the Opelika Recycle & Shred Day twice a year. This event is limited to residents (no businesses) of Lee County and non-profits. Documents will be shredded onsite through a partnership with River Mill of Columbus, Georgia. This will be a drive-thru event. Please remain in your vehicle while our volunteers unload your documents.
